Anyone know what this means?

Prior to this I had deleted all history, so I am not sure what is meant by "previous". It seems to mean current or it is a fake message.

A "shim" is a sort of patch to allow stuff written for XP to run under Vista. For an application you wish to install it will be OK. For a website that needs a patch to run something in IE or WMP you have to ask yourself do I trust this site?
